Auckland Flooding / Cyclone Gabrielle Support

My thoughts are with everyone affected by the Auckland flooding and Cyclone Gabrielle. As the damage is assessed and the impact of this event becomes clearer there will be ongoing releases of different forms of support. I have included information on the packages released so far but will continue to monitor what is available and keep an up-to-date list below. Government Grants Available
The government is contributing $25 million towards business recovery of these events. To see if your business is eligible visit the government website here.
Ministry of Social Development (MSD)
Civil Defence payments are available and can help with costs for emergency food, clothing and bedding, leaving your home, loss of income, and hosting evacuees. The payments are also available to those not on a benefit and, in most cases, regardless of your income.
Civil Defence Centre Hubs
People affected by the flooding who need help with accommodation, financial assistance and insurance advice can visit Civil Defence Centre Hubs.
Auckland Council Emergency Relief Fund
The Auckland Council Emergency Relief Fund supports people experiencing hardship due to disasters and needing urgent financial assistance. The fund is in addition to other support that people may qualify for through the Ministry of Social Development. Applications to the fund can be made here.
Inland Revenue
IRD is offering some tax relief with repayment plans and re-estimation of provisional tax if your income has or will be affected.
Xero Assistance Programme (XAP)
XAP gives Xero small businesses free, confidential access to face-to-face, telephone, live chat, and online counselling.
